Overhanging trees and trees too tall are a regular complaint at our schools and have the potential to drain already pressed budgets
We receive dozens of requests for removal or pruning of trees annually. We carry out annual tree surveys and action any issues raised as being hazardous. We have no legal responsibility beyond this. However, where there are requests for pruning or removal for the betterment of neighbours my standard response is that if they wish to prune any branches beyond their boundary they are legally entitled to. If they wish a tree to be removed then with our permission we will organise removal using one our contractors at their expense.
